Flood

For me, the story of the Flood found in Genesis 6-9 is one of the most challenging and perplexing in all of Scripture. It challenges our preconceptions, defies our often simplistic hermeneutics, and undermines attempts to formulate propositional, systematized theological statements. While this story is often relegated to Sunday School, I suggest we put aside our pictures of fuzzy, smiling animals on a houseboat and take up the task of engaging God through the story he inspired.
